JD 1590 SEED DRILL RENTAL AGREEMENT

  1. The rental rate for the JD 1590 No-till Drill is $10.00 per metered acre with a $50 minimum fee assessed. Ag operators must fill out the use and agreement each time you use the drill. The AWWD policy requires that a signed rental
    agreement be in place with our office in order to rent the drill

TERMS and CONDITIONS:

The AWWD shall:

  1. Determine application priorities in consultation with the Sub-District & Board.
  2. . Reserve the right to reasonable access to project areas for tours or to inspect the condition of the project site
  3.  Require a signed rental agreement be placed with our office in order to rent the drill.

The applicant shall:

  1. Fill out the rental agreement each time you use the no-till drill with the following information: Beginning and ending meter reading, date the no-till drill is used, total acres, crop planted, and the renter’s signature.
  2. Agree to care for the equipment in a reasonable and prudent manner, reporting any problems resulting from
    equipment malfunction to the AWWD immediately.
  3. Contact the AWWD office WHEN YOU ARE READY TO PLANT. Normal business hours are Monday to
  4. Friday 8 am to 4:30 pm. Outside of normal business hours an on the weekend, you may call 204-851-0356. When
    the no-till drill becomes available, you will be notified where it can be picked up. It is imperative that the drill be used in a timely manner for the benefit of others waiting to rent it. Upon completion of planting, notify the AWWD office as soon as possible.

5. Be responsible for missing and/or damaged parts other than normal wear and tear of equipment.
6. Provide $10.00 per acre or a minimum $50.00 fee as rent for the equipment.
7. Provide and operate a tractor capable of pulling drill:

    • Approximately 90 horse power; Two selective control valves (SCV), Seven pin connection

8. Be responsible for setting the seeding rate. Rate charts available in the seed box. It is recommended to test the rate with a small amount of seed.
9. Additional considerations for use of the JD 1590 no-till drill:

o Raise the drill out of the ground when turning at the end of the row; do not back up seeder when
seeding mechanism is in position; do not transport drill without disengaging the drive wheel

o Do not put string or rope on boxes

o Do not use fertilizer in the drills or seeder box.

10. Upon completion of use, the no-till drill will be left in good condition, with seed boxes cleaned out. A $50.00
fee will be assessed for non-compliance.
11. Provide access for inspection, survey, construction, and tours, and grant the watershed district the right to use any
information related to this project for educational or promotional purposes.
12. Pay the balance due within 30 days of receiving an invoice.

General Terms and Conditions:

By signing this rental agreement the operator of the no-till drill agrees to the following:

  • To expressly assume the risk and full financial liability and responsibility for any and all personal injuries or property
    damage caused by the no-till drill during any period of its transportation, use, operation and storage, whether to the
    operator or any person; to release and forever discharge the AWWD, its directors, members, employees, agents,
    representatives and their successors, executors, administrators, and assigns forever, from any and all claims for
    damages for personal injury, property damage and contract, of every kind and nature whatsoever, whether known or
    unknown, liquidated or unliquidated from the date of the execution of this agreement.
  • To indemnify and hold harmless the AWWD, its directors, members, employees, agents, representatives and their
    successors, executors, administrators and assigns forever from any and all claims for any loss, damage, bodily injury,
    or other liability, whether in tort or in contract, incurred for the use, transportation, operation and storage of the no-till
    drill.
  • Operator expressly understands and agrees that THERE ARE NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS or IMPLIED,
    CONCERNING THE RENTAL, TRANSPORTATION, OPERATION, USE OR STORAGE OF THE NOTILL DRILL.
  • THE DISTRICT RESERVES THE RIGHT TO PICK UP THE DRILL IF IT IS NOT BEING UTILIZED IN A
    TIMELY MATTER! This is essential in order to accommodate as many requests for usage as possible. If field
