Tree Orders


The landowner costs of the shelterbelt services are:
Tree stock – cost recovery basis 

  1. ~$1.50/tree for conservation grade, minimum bundles of 25 
  2. Cost + transportation for larger stock 

CONDITIONS: The watershed district shall:

  1. Order trees
  2. Provide 25 free flowering, pollinator trees per person/project pending available funds.
    Examples of pollinator species: Buffaloberry, Saskatoon, Lilac, Dogwood, Caragana, Cotoneaster, Hawthorn, Currant, Elderberry, Honeysuckle, Ussurian Pear, Rose, Sumac, Chokecherry.
    Subject to stock availability from nurseries.
    Additional trees available at cost. 

The landowner shall:

  1. Pick up trees
  2. Plant trees 
  3. Remit payment for trees in a timely manner. 

General Terms and Conditions:

  • Tree species subject to supplier availability and import restrictions 
  • Subject to the above terms, the agreement shall become effective and shall be binding upon both parties. 
  • If either party fails to meet the above mentioned responsibilities, the agreement may be terminated by the party via written notice. 
  • The annual projects resulting from this program will be subject to funds appropriated. 
  • Technical service will be subject to the availability of staff. The district reserves the right to establish priorities for providing such services and assistance. 
  • Failure of Landowner to meet Landowner Responsibilities may negate him/her from other Watershed District programs.
