This educational forest began taking shape in 2008 when the
Assiniboine West Watershed District (AWWD) redeveloped
this wayside park, creating a rest stop and walking trail.
Since then, AWWD has planted over 900 trees and shrubs,
creating a mosaic of species that can be found throughout
the Assiniboine River Watershed.
